Jillian Noel Shennessy was born on November 25, 1968 in Canada is a Canadian performer and actress that was acknowledged for her contribution for American television. The show has been highly praised for her outstanding performances in the American television series Law & Order in which she was Claire Kincaid as a prosecutor for three seasons and Crossing Jordan, wherein she played Jordan Cavanaugh the main character over a period of six years. Her acting talents were on display in the films RoboCop 3 Most Wanted as well as Chutney Popcorn & The Acting Class. In these independent film, she exercised co-directing skills and her writing abilities. Hennessy began her acting career alongside her twin sister as twin call-girls on Dead Ringers in 1988. In the year 1990, she appeared on Broadway as Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story. Her next move was into sci-fi and played Dr. Marie Lazarus (RoboCop 3) in 1993. The following year, her biggest break was when she was cast in NBC's smash drama Law & Order to play the assistant district attorney Claire Kincaid. She mesmerized audiences in this part for three seasons, until her departure in the year 1996. Parker was awarded an award in 2001, the Tony Award as Best Actress for the Broadway Show Proof.
