Nancy Wilson and Maisie Richardson

Nancy Wilson (jazz singer) was born to Olden Wilson as the Chillicothe ironworker on 20 February 1937. She was the daughter of Lillian Ryan worked as housekeeper. Nancy was the youngest of six kids. The agent of Adderley heard about her at The Blue Morocco Night Club, Boston Road, The Bronx and she signed. within a month of her arrival in New York City. In 1960, he enlisted her to Capitol Records, and that the same year, she debuted her first single. Guess Who? Capitol released five Nancy Wilson albums within two years. At first, she focused on rhythm and blues, under Adderley's influence she moved away from R&B and began to embrace jazz and torch songs. Nancy Wilson, Cannonball Adderley as well as their 1962 partnership made her a star. The singer had her breakout smash Tell Me the Truth by 1963.
